Afiya Howell, a native of Washington, D.C., began her journey as a psalmist at age 14, singing at Evangel Cathedral in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where her dedication led her to become a primary Praise & Worship Leader and music producer for large-scale Broadway-style productions drawing over 30,000 attendees annually. She has served as a background vocalist for renowned gospel artists including Bishop Marvin Sapp, Yolanda Adams, Karen Clark-Sheard, Albertina Walker, Lecresia Campbell, and the late Daryl Coley, and has since emerged as a lead voice in the Praise & Worship genre. Afiya released her debut single “No Fear” in 2018 and “You Are” in 2019 featuring her mentor, the late Pastor Cassandra Elliott, with her first EP currently in development. As an entrepreneur and Music Ministry Architect, she equips ministries with sustainable frameworks for excellence in worship, team building, and administration.
