About The Symposium
The Theatre & Touring Symposium is back for the first time in three years to bring together theatre professionals from across the UK to highlight the issues facing the sector at present, and to explore solutions to improve the landscape for theatre in 2022 and beyond.
This year the Symposium is taking place both live in-person and online to improve access and enable people from across the UK to unite and celebrate the return of live theatre.
The Symposium is designed to reignite connections between industry peers, to promote best practice insights and cutting-edge approaches to operating in the new post-pandemic landscape of theatre. In exploring the current issues the industry is facing today this Symposium will unearth practical solutions to enable our members to continue to bring high-quality theatre to wider audiences across the UK.
The overarching theme for this year’s Symposium is ‘A New Landscape for Theatre’. We will explore how we can pivot from a period of huge disruption and change, and harness our entrepreneurial spirit to take advantage of the opportunities offered by our current situation to improve the future of theatre-making.
