Kate is a Principal Consultant at Turner & Townsend managing the technical advice team for the Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator and manages a team delivering ESG reporting for social housing providers. Kate has 15 years’ experience delivering retrofit at scale projects for local authorities, social housing providers and in the third sector (charity). Her experience is across all three tenure’s and includes complex interventions, Energiesprong whole house retrofits and EWI on pre1919 properties. Kate commissioned ‘The Bristolian’s guide to solid wall insulation’ whilst at Bristol City Council. She is a supporter of community lead sustainability projects and was founding Director of Bristol Green Doors, a not for profit promoting domestic retrofit through open homes events. Prior to moving into Sustainability, Kate was a commercial interior designer managing primarily retail and leisure fit-outs. She is an APMQ project manager with over 20 years delivery experience.

She studies how people at all levels behave as individuals and collectively at work, paying particular attention to the personal values and motivations that can drive, disrupt or block this agenda from within the organisation. She is one of the founding scholars of the micro foundations of corporate social responsibility (micro-CSR). This is a sociological and psychological perspective that investigates responsible/irresponsible organisational contexts, and the development of formal and informal leaders, or activists, known as 'corporate social entrepreneurs'. Her pioneering work has inspired a practitioner movement and is widely cited in major scholarly journals. Christine has extensive practical experience derived from her prior blue-chip corporate career, working across a range of consumer industries in brand and marketing management. Hilary Jeffkins is a keen naturalist, biologist and award-winning wildlife filmmaker. In 2023, she was series Producer on the BBC1 British wildlife series - Wild Isles, presented by Sir David Attenborough. The five programmes explored the beautiful, exciting but threatened wildlife and habitats of the British Isles. Hilary’s career began at the BBC Natural History Unit where she worked on numerous projects for over 25 years. She produced and developed programmes, including the live shows Bird in the Nest, Springwatch and the Really Wild Show (BAFTA). She has worked with film crews worldwide to capture all kinds of behavioural stories, including octopus intelligence for a wildlife Special, animal courtship for the series Battle of the Sexes and reptiles and amphibians for David Attenborough’s Life in Cold Blood (BAFTA). In 2011 as a freelancer she joined Humblebee Films, writing, producing, and directing David Attenborough’s Natural Curiosities and in 2017 she teamed up with Silverback Films to work on their major British series Wild Isles. Hilary lives in Bristol and can be found mostly outdoors, walking, and watching British wildlife.
