Social Justice Collaborative is a 501(c)(3) non-profit protecting the rights of immigrants and refugees, providing free and low-cost legal services to immigrants. Its programs focus on representation in court for asylum seekers, immigrant families, and unaccompanied minors facing deportation proceedings. It also offers legal assistance for clients to get green cards and work authorization documents. Social Justice Collaborative employs a “client-centered” approach to lawyering, empowering clients to make informed choices in their legal matters and connecting them with organizations that offer social work, academic, and health services so that they can receive holistic and comprehensive care. Awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Alameda County Bar Association, the Top-rated Non-profit organization award by Great Nonprofits, the Platinum Seal of Transparency by Guidestar, the Champion of Justice award by OneJustice.
