Several people in my family are Deaf, deaf, and hard-of-hearing. I use ASL and wear bilateral hearing aids. I am a proud mama of a profoundly Deaf daughter with extreme language deprivation. I love working with students who experience language deprivation. I enjoy creating materials that can be adapted to a variety of language needs. The biggest challenge in my career was teaching Ghannian teachers how to work with their students with language deprivation, without the use of visuals and technology that we are fortunate to have access to.
