Arash Kia, M.D., M.Sc., is a Director of Clinical Data Science at the Mount Sinai Health System, as well as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine. He is a clinical practitioner with a decade of experience as a researcher and data scientist in the field of life sciences and health care technology. He works to identify clinical opportunities for optimization, translate the opportunities into technology development language, design and develop machine learning applications, and incorporate them into clinical practice workflow as AI-based clinical decision support tools.
