George Guy Jr

George Guy Jr. currently serves as principal of the Rosa International Middle School in Cherry Hill, NJ. George is entering his twenty fourth year in education. He has served in urban, rural and suburban districts in central and southern New Jersey.
For the last six years, George has served on Cherry Hill’s Cultural Proficiency/Equity Committee. This committee has addressed issues around family engagement, access and opportunity, cultural proficiency training for certificated staff, and anti-racism.
George has presented about some form of Cultural Proficiency and/or Equity since 2010. George’s presentations also focus on ESL/ELL issues, access and opportunity gaps, racial justice, educational equity, Response to Intervention (RTI), Intervention and Referral Services, and special education disproportionality.
Currently, he is one of the lead equity consultants for the New Jersey Principal’s and Supervisors Association (NJPSA). George is also a School Improvement Advisor (SIA) for Scholastic.com Division of Learning Supports.
Recently, George has been featured on podcasts by Mathematica (“On the Evidence”) and the New Jersey Department of Education’s (“DOE Digest”).
George is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University. He holds masters’ degrees from New Brunswick Theology Seminary and Rowan University.
