Amy Holm is the Executive Director of The Climate Registry, a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles connects, educates, and empowers both public and private organizations with the resources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Amy also has led The Climate Registry’s efforts to amplify the work and opportunities for public and private stakeholders through hosting of the annual Climate Leadership Conference and Award program as well as organizing US delegations to attend the UNFCCC’s COP events. As a strong advocate for public-private partnerships to drive climate action, Amy has worked with many organizations, including Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation, Code Blue Foundation, American Forests, and Global Tomorrow Coalition. Amy received an M.A. in Environmental Policy in International Relations from Claremont Graduate University and a B.A. in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College.

Janet Peace

As Head of Advisory Services, Janet is responsible for leading outreach, guidance and engagement on key climate issues important to Anew’s clients including on climate and clean energy policy, natural climate solutions, GHG inventories, net-zero strategies, and climate disclosure. Janet brings a wide spectrum of experience on environmental issues to her work at Anew. Prior to Anew, she taught environmental economics at the Univ of Calgary, was part of the management team at the Pew Center on Global Climate Change, in DC. She also helped launch Pew’s successor, the Center on Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES). At Pew and C2ES, Janet led their engagement with the corporate community, including their Business Environmental Leadership Council - mostly Fortune 500 companies. Janet also led research and engagement on market-based policy, domestic policy, corporate sustainability, climate resilience and carbon capture, use and storage. As a recognized expert on climate issues, she has been an advisor to the World Bank’s High-Level Panel on Carbon Pricing Competitiveness, the NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE and American University’s Center for Environmental Policy. She is past member of the review team for the Fourth National Climate Assessment, National Research Council’s Roundtable on Climate Change Education and the Council of Canadian Academies on oil sands environmental technologies. Janet is also the Chair of the Board for the Climate Registry. Janet holds a Ph.D. and Master of Science in economics and an undergraduate degree in geology.

Jane Davidson

Chair, Wales Net Zero 2035 Challenge Group

Jane Davidson is Chair of Wales Net Zero 2035, an expert Group convened under the 2021 Cooperation Agreement between the Welsh Government and Plaid Cymru to ‘Commission independent advice to examine potential pathways to net zero by 2035 – the current target date is 2050. This will look at the impact on society and sectors of our economy and how any adverse effects may be mitigated, including how the costs and benefits are shared fairly. We support devolution of further powers and resources Wales needs to respond most effectively to reach net zero” The Group’s work will be undertaken between January 2023 and July 2024 She is the author of #futuregen: Lessons from a Small Country (2020), the story of why Wales was the first country in the world to introduce legislation to protect future generations. #futuregen is published by Chelsea Green. The update was published in Welsh by Lolfa in 2022 #futuregen: Gwersi o Wlad Fechan She is Pro Vice-Chancellor Emeritus at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, having spent nearly a decade leading the university’s sustainability agenda through the establishment of INSPIRE (the Institute for Sustainable Practice, Innovation and Resource Effectiveness), with the university achieving a number of awards under her leadership. From 2000 - 2011, Jane was Minister for Education, then Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing in the Welsh Government, where she proposed a law to make protecting future generations the central organising principle of government; the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act came into law in 2015. She introduced the first plastic bag charge in the UK, and her recycling regulations took Wales to among the best in the world. She created a Climate Change Commission for Wales, the post of Sustainable Futures Commissioner, One Planet Developments and the Wales Coast Path. In Education, she piloted major curriculum changes: in particular, moving away from subjects to areas of learning in the Foundation Phase for early years and broadening the A level curriculum through a Welsh Baccalaureate, integrating Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship into the Welsh Curriculum. From September 2022, the new Welsh statutory curriculum embeds both approaches. Jane is a patron of the Chartered Institute for Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) Seatrust, Cambrian Wildwood and Tools for Self Reliance Wales (TFSR Cymru). She holds honorary fellowships from IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment), WWF, CIWM (Chartered Institution of Wastes Management), CIWEM (Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management) and an honorary doctorate from the University of Glamorgan. She is a RSA Fellow and since 2017 has been guest faculty in the Executive Education for Sustainability Leadership programme at Harvard University's T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She contributes regularly to international expert events, particularly on intergenerational equity. She lives on a smallholding in west Wales where she aims to live lightly on the land.

Elizabeth Geller

Elizabeth Geller is a consulting professional, engineer, and project manager with over eight years of experience in the environmental compliance and sustainability fields. She received her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Purdue University and spent the early part of her career conducting air quality emissions analyses and advising industrial clients on compliance with the US Clean Air Act. Caitlin Swalec

Caitlin Swalec (she/her) is an engineer and industrial decarbonization specialist. She is the Program Director for Heavy Industry at Global Energy Monitor (GEM), a non-profit research think tank. At GEM, Caitlin led the development of the Global Steel Plant Tracker and Global Blast Furnace Tracker, as well as facilitating the global Steel Data Network. She previously worked as an air quality engineer in compliance reporting and permitting for fossil fuel fired power plants throughout the United States. Caitlin also worked as a wind farm planner and analyst for Fraunhofer IWES, a European wind energy research institute, and as a communications specialist for the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis. Caitlin received a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a master’s degree from UC Santa Barbara’s Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, where she now teaches a graduate level course on carbon accounting.

René has more than 20 years of R&D experience in the CPG industry. Prior to joining PepsiCo, he worked at Unilever in various senior R&D positions across its home and personal care portfolio. He has lived in the UK, The Netherlands, and Thailand and is currently based in Purchase, NY. René has held various board memberships including those of European and Dutch industry associations related to the home and personal care industry as well as the European Chemical Industry. He has also served as a member of the GMA’s Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Executive Committee. René currently holds a board seat at New York Hall of Science and serves as a commissioner for the National Commission on the Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers, an initiative of the U.S. Council on Competitiveness. Kim Carnahan

Her commitment to bold action across the Biden administration, supported by the climate and clean energy provisions in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act, restored U.S. climate leadership on a global stage and put a new U.S. national target to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50-52 percent below 2005 levels by 2030 within reach.

Marie Brousseau-Navarro

Marie is the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Commissioner at the Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales. She was the Director of Policy, Legislation and Innovation until 2021. She is part of the senior management team which helps develop and deliver the Commissioner's corporate policies, plan and priorities. Marie was responsible for overseeing work on monitoring and assessing the extent to which public bodies’ well-being objectives are being met. She also led the work on the legal application of the Act, transport and planning. She led, contributed to and coordinated the production of the first Future Generations Report published in 2020. She is a legal consultant with more than 15 years experience. She was appointed The Honorary Consul of France in Wales in March 2014 and she was reappointed to the post in 2019. Marie has been a board member of charities, companies and public organisations since 2012. Marie was the Founder and Managing Director of YourLegalEyes, constitutional lawyers specialising in training and consultancy around policy, legislation, amendments, parliamentary processes, Welsh law and devolution between 2012 and 2019. She helped many organisations secure amendments to Welsh Bills and delivered countless training sessions on devolution and legislative processes in Wales. Marie was a member of the Wales Committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission for 5 years. She is a constitutional and legislation lawyer, a specialist in public law, the law of devolution and the Well-Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, she was Editor and Chief Researcher to the Cardiff Law School website, Wales Legislation Online, for 13 years.
