Have had the pleasure of working across industries, countries and cultures, recently leading teams and promoting M&As in Grupo Bernardo da Costa, particularly Atouchinter Lda and Winwel Lda becoming Atouch Winwel Lda (horizontal acquisition). Aggregating and complementing corporate capabilities in the Smart Connected Home industry creating it the biggest Portuguese dedicated manufacturer.
To do so leveraged the implementation of ISO9001 certification to communicate to merged team the process, the product, KPIs thus the way forward !
As an industrial engineer, with several years of experience from General Management, Business Development, Business Strategy, Innovation and Plant Management I was responsible to develop products, industrial and residential applications, working with teams in industries from metal forming, plastic injection, composite materials, and having the pleasure to learn such technologies as electronics Hardware (PCBAs), software (Java, C, Angular, Bash, SQL) amongst others.
During this time choices of organic Vs inorganic growth were made in dimensions ranging from outsourcing, offshoring, reshoring, Internal R&D and capital allocation as well as alliances were made to achieve international headlines both as the first Portuguese KNX Manufacturer as well as the first world KNX manufacturer to present a KNX IoT Touch panel having been featured in worldwide newsletter and invited as speaker for the World Iot Solutions Congress in Barcelona. In this way Atouch Winwel leverage in-house and an alliance to be the first mover worldwide capitalizing far most in branding than if had spent 10x the amount in marketing campaigns.
It is crucial to understand and manage all stockholders, to align them into to a common vision, understand the mandate and how our decisions make it or break it, keeping in mind all stakeholders, and listening to clients and market trends.
