As a marketing and business development professional, I'm in the business of studying people. My profession and passion is trying to understand how and why people make decisions, what motivates them, and how they perceive the world. It’s the thrill of competing for a project and trying to understand our client’s needs, wants, and values, and then crafting a message and solution to their problems. I enjoy working with project teams to help them identify the best solution to our client’s needs, and mentoring and leading staff to guide and help make them successful. In short, it’s about the people. I may work at a firm that models groundwater, designs roads and transmission lines, or develops water wells; but at the end of the day all of these things help people, and it’s people that make it happen.
