Rabia Siddique

International Human Rights Lawyer & former British Army Officer

Rabia is an international criminal and human rights lawyer, former British Army officer, hostage and family, domestic and sexual violence survivor, global change maker and trail blazer. She was decorated by the late Queen Elizabeth 11 for her humanitarian work in the Middle East and has also worked in Asia, South America and Europe, and she became well known for having successfully sued the British Armed Forces and Government for discrimination in a landmark case in 2008. Rabia is the author of the best selling book “Equal Justice - My Journey as a Woman, a Soldier and a Muslim” and more recently has become a multi award winning story teller, professional speaker, leadership, resilience and diversity consultant, non-executive board member, philanthropist, media commentator and advocate for women, children and our most marginalised communities. Through her lived experience as a trauma survivor and her professional experience as both an international criminal prosecutor and human rights lawyer, Rabia brings unique perspectives to her tireless advocacy for multi sector systemic and cultural change, in order to combat the growing scourge of human rights abuses and gendered violence in Australia and around the world. She is also a very proud mother of teenage triplet boys!

Carlene O'Meagher

Carlene has worked in legal tech for as long as Daft Punk have been a thing. Carlene trained as a lawyer and worked as a barrister in Auckland, New Zealand, before she was drawn to tech, and to helping lawyers navigate legal tech. In this capacity she has worked in large law firms across London and Auckland before moving into SaaS and Customer Success in 2018. Carlene joined LawVu in 2021 and is currently based in London where she leads a team of LawVu CSMs around the globe. At LawVu, Carlene has found great joy in having conversations with people who also found their passion outside private practice law firms: the in-house community.

Sam Kidd

Sam Kidd is the CEO of LawVu, a Tauranga-based in-house legal software company that he co-founded 10 years ago. An advocate of the SaaS business model, Sam is passionate about helping organizations improve how they communicate and collaborate using technology. His can-do attitude coupled with his entrepreneurial nous make him the driving force behind LawVu, which is transforming and empowering in-house legal teams on a global scale.

Shaun Plant

Community Evangelist

Shaun is InView's Community Evangelist and Chief Legal Evangelist for LawVu. Shaun is a seasoned legal professional with a background spanning private practice, and in-house in government and private enterprises. He is a guru in Legal Project Management (LPM), with a Masters degree in the subject, and provides LPM training through The College of Law. He is on a mission to empower in-house legal professionals to realise the true value of their work, by being better connected with their work, their business and with business outcomes.

Vera Corbett

General Counsel, NGM Group

Vera Corbett is the General Counsel at NGM Group, bringing 16 years of experience in in-house legal roles. A seasoned lawyer, Vera is a passionate advocate for the transformative impact that legal operations can have on driving operational efficiency within in-house legal teams. She believes in leveraging legal operations as a key driver of innovation and efficiency, ensuring the legal function is not just a support function, but a strategic partner in business growth. Her practical legal expertise spans a wide array of sectors, including Commercial and Contract Law, Securitisation, Property, Banking, and Finance. Vera holds a LLB of Laws (Hons) / Dip of Legal Practice / Bach. of Commerce from the University of Newcastle.

Alyssa McKay

Legal Operations Leader

Alyssa McKay is the Legal Operations Lead at NGM Group. She joined the organisation five years ago as its ‘first’ Paralegal, and since, has taken on a variety of roles across Governance, Strategy, and Legal, eventually finding her home in Legal Operations. Alyssa credits her success in Legal Operations to being a ‘Jill of all trades,’ blending a strategic mindset with technical legal expertise to drive organisational initiatives and improve day-to-day processes. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Alyssa holds a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Wellesley College (US). After relocating to Newcastle, Australia in 2016, she went on to earn a BA/LLB of Laws from the University of New England.

Ilona Meyer is General Counsel and Company Secretary at Nuix Limited, a global investigative analytics platform serving law enforcement and corporations across 140+ countries. With over 25 years of experience navigating uncharted legal territory in emerging technologies, Ilona has built her career making critical decisions when precedent doesn't exist. From the early days of software licensing and internet commerce to today's AI governance challenges, Ilona has consistently operated at the intersection of innovation and regulation. Her expertise spans healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, investigative analytics, and medical devices—industries where legal frameworks often lag behind technological advancement. Recognized as one of 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics™ (2024), Ilona holds advanced certifications from Oxford (AI Program), MIT Sloan (AI Strategy), and University of Melbourne (AI Ethics). She serves as Non-Executive Director and Audit & Risk Committee Chair at Micro-X Limited (ASX:MX1) and sits on the International Paralympic Committee's Nominations Panel. She is also a member of Chief Executive Women. Ellen Howard

Ellen Howard is the Lead Legal Counsel (Privacy and Product) for Privacy and Business Operations at Canva, where she leads a team that advises Canva’s internal-facing business functions including People, Security, Global Risk and Compliance, IT, Infrastructure and Platform, Legal, and Finance and Procurement on privacy, data governance, and responsible AI implementation. She holds several certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, including CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPP/M, CIPT, and AIGP, and is admitted to practice law in both Australia and the United States. Prior to joining Canva, Ellen served as General Counsel and Privacy Officer for the ATI Global Software Group which includes LEAP Legal Software, and before that, as Senior Legal Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at Quantium.

Fiona Chung

Fiona Chung is the Head of Commercial Legal for Uber in Australia and New Zealand. An experienced leader with over 15 years of experience across the technology, financial services and real estate sectors, Fiona is a trusted advisor to senior leadership. She is focused on driving strategic results, delivering commercial and pragmatic solutions and building a high-performing legal team. Her expertise cuts across a broad range of areas, including large-scale transactions, novel regulations and complex investigations, data and privacy, and consumer law matters. Fiona is also deeply passionate about leveraging technology to improve efficiencies. In her prior role at Allianz, she developed a custom disclaimer generator to speed up marketing reviews. During her time at Uber, she has overhauled how legal workflows are managed across the APAC Legal team and is currently developing a redline tool with the aim of accelerating deal execution and enabling business teams to move more swiftly.
