Virginia is a globally recognized technical expert in security, resiliency, and infrastructure automation, with a distinguished career at Kyndryl (formerly IBM Services). As the former Chief Engineer of IBM’s Security Patch Management Service, she patented innovations that transformed the company’s security solutions, becoming IBM’s first Filipino American Distinguished Engineer. Virginia now leads Kyndryl’s Security and Resiliency Global Delivery Practice, ensuring secure and adaptive solutions for clients. Virginia holds dual Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Engineering and Information Technology, a Master’s in Engineering Management, and is pursuing a Doctor of Science in Cybersecurity. She has received numerous awards, including the "Outstanding Technical Contribution in Industry – Security" at the 2019 Women of Color STEM Conference and the ©TOFA Award at Carnegie Hall in 2021. Featured in Vogue Philippines for International Women’s Day in 2024, she serves on the boards of several organizations, including the NJIT Murray Center for Women in Technology.
