Peter Coffee

Peter Coffee is the VP for Strategic Research at Salesforce, and is now in his seventeenth year with the company. He previously wrote for eighteen years at publications including eWEEK, PC Week, Computer Language and AI Expert. His most recent publication is "Value and Risk in the Fourth Informational Revolution," released this February as a contribution to the Routledge Handbook of Risk Management and the Law. In earlier roles, Peter supported desktop computing and national-security AI applications at The Aerospace Corporation, and held project management positions at (what was then) Exxon Corporation in locations ranging from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic. He received his engineering degree at MIT in 1978, and an MBA from Pepperdine University in 1985; he has lectured at Stanford, CalTech, Harvard Business School, and both the Sloan School of Management and the Media Lab at MIT. He is co-founder and President of the Foundation for Intelligent Life on Earth, sponsoring work on climate change, conservation, STEAM education, and the exploration of earth and space.

Sarah Cheatham

Sarah currently serves as the Customer Relationship Management System Project and Training Specialist for the recruitment instance of Salesforce at Western Michigan University. She is the lead trainer and business analyst for 700+ end users. Her daily activities include 1) assisting units with their development of recruitment strategy, technology alignment, and prospective student experiences, 2) creating skill building sessions to enhance user adoption, and 3) managing unique projects for system enhancements. Prior to joining the CRM team, Sarah spent 10 years as a professional in university admissions and enrollment management, where she specialized in undergraduate recruitment strategies. In her free time, Sarah is a full-time graduate student pursing her doctorate in Educational Leadership, wife to her wonderful husband, Chris, bonus mom to five amazing teenagers, fur mom to two loving Aussiedoodles, coaches recreational soccer, and is a home renovation enthusiast.
