Dr. Grafenreed is a Licensed Psychologist (LP) and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP). She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (1993) and Ph.D. in School Psychology (1998) from Texas A&M University in College Station. While she is an LP, Dr. Grafenreed considers herself first as an educator, having spent nearly 30 years in education as a School Psychologist. For 12 years, Dr. Grafenreed worked as a LSSP in several Houston area school districts and later another 12 years as an Education Specialist at Region 4 Education Service Center in the Department of Special Education Solutions (Region 4). While at Region 4, the largest Education Service Center in Texas, Dr. Grafenreed led the Texas Behavior Support (TBS) Network, a Texas Education Agency sponsored statewide network designed to build capacity in Texas schools through the provision of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to all students for ten years. During her tenure at Region 4, Dr. Grafenreed collaborated with multiple school districts, district and campus administrators, and teachers in developing effective systems to create equitable learning environments for all students. She helped develop the Texas Equity Summit, an annual conference designed to address key issues related to school discipline, equity, school climate, and PBIS as the lead for the TBS Network. Her passion for equity in education led her to request and receive a City of Houston Proclamation for Equity in Education Day in honor of the Texas Equity Summit and the TBS Network. Dr. Grafenreed created the Region 4 Equity Collaborative, which was designed for leaders of districts and charter schools that had been identified as “Significantly Disproportionate” in discipline by TEA while at Region 4. The Equity Collaborative introduced district and charter school leaders to educational equity and equity literacy as a tool to address and eliminate disproportionality in school discipline. Dr. Grafenreed currently serves as a Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator at the University of Washington’s School Mental Health Assessment, Research, and Training (SMART) Center.

Dr. Jodie Soracco is the Director of the Virginia Tiered System of Supports, Research and Implementation Center. In her role, she helps build state and division-level capacity to support the sustained and broad-scale implementation of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) across the Commonwealth of Virginia. With 18 years of experience in education, Dr. Soracco has dedicated 16 years to PBS/MTSS work, acquiring expertise in various MTSS applications such as home, school, community, mental health integration, rural communities, and interdisciplinary interests. Her professional background includes teaching experience in both general and special education, as well as roles such as Training Coordinator of family behavioral services, State Coordinator, and Research, Development, and Evaluation Director in the Nevada PBIS Technical Assistance Center. She has also conducted research on individual and group well-being, fidelity, and school absenteeism. Furthermore, Dr. Soracco is a board-certified behavior analyst and a licensed behavior analyst in Virginia.

Andy is an Associate Professor and Co-Chair of the School Psychology Program. He received a doctorate from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools and the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Andy has experience in schools, community mental health, and medical settings. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Andy was a faculty member at the University of Oregon. Andy is a licensed psychologist, licensed school psychologist, and Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Andy serves as Co-Director of the School Mental Health Collaborative, a center focused on conducting research that informs policy and practice to promote the social-emotional and behavioral success of all students. He is also Co-Director of the Family-School-Community Alliance, a national organization focused on advancing partnerships among families, schools, and communities to support family and professional wellness, and youth mental health.
