Martin founded Everway (formerly Texthelp) in 1996 with a mission to create technology that empowers everyone to communicate more effectively. What started as a company focused on supporting individuals with speech and dexterity challenges has evolved into a leader in neuroinclusive technology, helping people of all abilities read, write, and express their ideas more fluently. Martin's vision is to see a world where everyone can understand and be understood. We do this by unlocking the potential of every mind, developing tools that address the unique needs of individuals. Under his leadership, Everway has impacted over 250 million people worldwide. Martin’s dedication to improving literacy and communication has earned him recognition, including the Presidential Award from the International Dyslexia Association for his lifetime contribution to dyslexia and literacy. In 2023 Martin discovered he is dyslexic - as a passionate life-long advocate for neuroinclusion, receiving this diagnosis was a full-circle moment. Today Martin proudly shares his story, inspiring others to lead with transparency and celebrate the strengths that diversity can bring. In 2022, Martin was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year (Ireland), celebrating his vision and leadership in making neuroinclusive technology accessible to all.

Erin Mote

CEO and Founder - InnovateEDU

Erin Mote is the CEO and Founder of InnovateEDU. In this role, Erin leads the organization and its major projects, including its policy and strategy portfolio. She leads the organization’s work on creating uncommon alliances to create systems change - in special education, talent development, artificial intelligence, and data modernization. An enterprise architect, she created, alongside her team, two of InnovateEDU’s signature technology products - Cortex, a next-generation personalized learning platform, and Landing Zone - a cutting-edge infrastructure as a service data product. Erin is also the co-founder of Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School with her husband Dr. Eric Tucker. She is a recognized global leader in technology, mobile, and broadband and has focused much of her career on expanding access to technology in the US and abroad. She has led ground-breaking initiatives, including scaling wireless communications to the developing world, developing global and national strategic technology plans, and working with the country’s leading technology companies. Erin has served in an advisory capacity to the White House/OSTP’s US Ignite Initiative, the Obama Administration’s Global Development Innovation Policy, the State Department’s TechCamp program, and the Obama Administration’s interagency process for Rio 2.0 and Rio+20. Erin served as the founding Chief of Party for the USAID Global Broadband and Innovations Alliance – a $19.5 million global technology expansion project. After starting her career as the Director of External and Strategic Relations for Arizona State University, Erin has served in senior positions with CHF International and Colter Companies. A recognized leader in alliance building, Erin serves in an advisory capacity for several leading international organizations, including SXSW EDU Launch, XPRIZE Foundation, Digital Promise, and The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. She is an Aspen Institute Socrates scholar and a proud alumnus of the University of Michigan.

Dan Habib

Award-winning director, producer and cinematographer

Dan Habib is the director, producer and cinematographer of the new documentary, Including Samuel. The film won the 2007 Positive Images in Media award from TASH, an international group committed to the full inclusion of people with disabilities. The film was named “Best Documentary” at the 2007 Somewhat North of Boston Film Festival, and has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered, and in the Washington Post and the Boston Globe. Exceptional Parent Magazine said "Including Samuel is a must see film." Habib is Filmmaker-in-Residence at the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire. Until joining UNH in April of 2008, Habib was the photography editor of the Concord Monitor since 1995. In 2006 and 2008 he was named the national Photography Editor of the Year for papers under 100,000 circulation. He was a staff photographer with the Monitor from 1988-1992. Between his stints at the Monitor, Habib freelanced and created a multi-media documentary project titled “Teen Sexuality in a Culture of Confusion” (www.danhabib.com). His freelance work, including extensive documentary work in China, has appeared in numerous publications, including Time, Newsweek, Yankee, Life, Boston Magazine, Mother Jones and the New York Times. Habib has been named New Hampshire Photographer of the Year six times. He has been a judge of Pulitzer Prizes, Pictures of the Year, Best of Photojournalism and White House News Photographer's Association. He was one of 10 young photojournalists from around the world chosen for the 1995 World Press Masterclass in Amsterdam.

Jean-Claude Brizard

President and CEO of Digital Promise Global

Jean-Claude Brizard is President and CEO of Digital Promise Global, a global, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization focused on shaping the future of learning and advancing equitable education systems by bridging solutions across research, practice, and technology. He is former Senior Advisor and Deputy Director at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation where he focused on PK-16 education. He also led several strategies supporting Washington State's educational system. The Carnegie Corporation of New York honored Brizard in the 2023 class of “Great Immigrants, Great Americans,” a prestigious honor celebrating naturalized citizens who have enriched and strengthened our society. He received the distinguished Aspen Institute 2024 John P. McNulty Prize for his work with Anseye Pou Haiti. The award recognizes courageous leaders tackling critical issues, from environmental injustice and disaster recovery to addressing a national crisis of leadership and education. He is former Chief Executive of Chicago Public Schools. Prior to his appointment in Chicago, he was Superintendent of Schools for the Rochester, NY School District. Mr. Brizard’s experience also includes a 21-year career as an educator and administrator with the NYC Department of Education. He served as a Regional Superintendent, supervising more than 100 schools in the Borough of Brooklyn and he also served as the system’s Executive Director for its 400 secondary schools. He is a Fellow of the Broad Center, a Fellow of the Pahara-Aspen Institute, and a member of the Aspen Institute Global Leadership Network.

Glenna Wright-Gallo

Vice President of Policy - Everway

Glenna Wright-Gallo is a transformative leader in disability policy, inclusive education, and employment. As Vice President of Policy at Everway, a global neurotechnology software company, she leverages over 25 years of experience to drive systemic change and empower diverse learners worldwide. Wright-Gallo’s career reflects a progression of impactful leadership roles. She recently served as Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) at the U.S. Department of Education, where she championed policies improving outcomes for over 7 million individuals with disabilities. Prior to this, she held key positions such as State Director of Special Education in Utah and Assistant Superintendent of Special Education in Washington State, leading strategic reforms to elevate expectations and expand access to opportunities. As an individual with a disability, Wright-Gallo brings a unique perspective to her work. This personal experience fuels her commitment to ensuring all individuals have access to opportunities without arbitrary limitations. Her strategic approach to policy development positions her to lead advancements in inclusive practices that empower individuals with disabilities. At Everway, Wright-Gallo spearheads the Policy Center of Excellence, an initiative that amplifies voices of neurodivergent individuals and/or have a disability, shapes equitable policies, and integrates research and evidence-based practices with neurotechnology software to foster inclusive practices and support accessibility in education and workplaces. A recognized thought leader in systems improvement, Wright-Gallo emphasizes raising expectations and leveraging data-driven strategies to continuously enhance outcomes for individuals with disabilities. Rebecca Winthrop

Director - Center for Universal Education at Brookings

Rebecca Winthrop is a leading global authority on education, the director of the Center for Universal Education at Brookings and an adjunct professor at Georgetown University. She is dedicated to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in life, work, and as an engaged citizen. She leads cutting-edge research and initiatives aimed at transforming education systems around the world to better support children's learning and development. Rebecca is a trusted advisor to both school communities and national and international organizations. Her expertise is sought by many including parent networks, schools, district education leaders, the White House, the United Nations, and Fortune 500 companies. Jonathan Mooney

Co-Founder | Chief Executive Officer - The Divergent Fund

Jonathan Mooney is a dyslexic neurodivergent writer, advocate, and social entrepreneur who did not learn to read until he was twelve years old. He holds an honors degree from Brown University in English Literature (a word he still can’t spell), is a Harry S. Truman Scholar for Public Service, and was a finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship. He is the author of three books, Learning Outside the Lines (Simon and Schuster, 2000), The Short Bus (Henry Holt and Co., 2007), and the subtlety titled Normal Sucks: How to Live, Learn, and Thrive Outside the Lines (Henry Holt and Co., 2019). A lifelong social entrepreneur, Jonathan has created and co-founded a number of social ventures including, Eye-To-Eye National, a movement-building organization for students with learning and attention differences. He is currently the co-founder of The Divergent Fund, a venture philanthropy investing in high-impact social ventures that support and empower neurodivergent individuals and their families. Jonathan’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, HBO, NPR, ABC News, New York Magazine, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe. He has spoken in all 50 states and 8 countries on disability and neurodiversity rights and inclusion inspiring those who live with differences and advocating for change.

Lee Frankel

Lee Frankel is the Executive Vice President of AI & ML at Everway, where she leads the company’s AI strategy, implementation, and development. A globally recognized AI evangelist and expert in AI, ML and GenAI she brings over twenty years of experience from leading technology companies, including Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Monzo. Lee’s work is driven by a clear standard: to build AI that is both highly capable and genuinely usable for everyone. Her approach is defined by creating systems that are transparent, designed for diverse users, and treat personal data with care. Megan Moore

Megan Moore has dedicated her career to creating inclusive and supportive environments where every student can thrive. As Vice President of the Neurodiversity Center of Excellence at Everway—and with more than 25 years of experience as a special education teacher, autism specialist, program specialist, and adjunct professor—she brings a deep understanding of how to unlock potential across diverse learners. Previously serving as Senior Product Director at n2y, Megan has led initiatives that expand access to learning, foster belonging, and equip educators with the tools to support the whole child. Her work continues to champion practices that help every student feel understood and supported, ensuring schools can move from story to sustained success.

Craig Barnum

Product Manager - Everway

Craig Barnum joined Texthelp in July of 2024 as the uPar Product Manager. This is the second act of Craig’s career as he retired in June of 2024 after 32 years in public education. Craig has teaching experience in elementary, middle, and high school classrooms. The bulk of his career, 25 years, was spent at district central offices as a technology director and CIO. Craig has the following degrees: B.S. Elementary Education and English with a secondary teaching endorsement, an M.A. in Educational Technology, and an Ed.S in Educational Leadership. Craig is also dyslexic. Learning to read was very difficult. This struggle with reading shaped his educational philosophy. Craig is a passionate advocate for Universal Design for Learning and assistive technology.

Kimberly Nix

Senior Professional Learning and Literacy Specialist - Everway

Kimberly R. Nix, Senior Professional Learning Specialist, has been with Everway for 15+ years. As a reading and training specialist, she has traveled across the United States and Canada to present on Unique Learning System and Read&Write features and their applications to enhance learning. After 18 years of middle and high school classroom experience, Kimberly has been working with K-12 and Higher Ed educators on using Literacy tools and strategies for learning for more than 15 years. She has a BS in Elementary/Middle Education and an MA in K-12 Reading Education.

Jason Carroll

EVP, Product - Everway

Jason Carroll is the Executive Vice President of Product at Everway, a global leader in education and accessibility technology. In this role, Jason leads the execution of Everway’s product vision and strategy across the company’s suite of solutions, with a focus on delivering high-impact, user-centered experiences that support inclusive learning. He oversees the product management and design functions, working closely with engineering and go-to-market teams to ensure Everway’s products are intuitive, effective, and aligned with the needs of diverse learners and educators. With over a decade of product leadership experience, Jason is passionate about creating tools that are both powerful and accessible. Prior to Everway, Jason served as Chief Product Officer at Texthelp, where he helped shape the company’s product direction and played a key role in the evolution of its literacy and math solutions, foundational elements of Everway’s current portfolio.

Keith Krueger

CEO - Consortium for School Networking

Keith R. Krueger is CEO of CoSN - The Consortium for School Networking, the premier nonprofit professional association organization that serves as the voice of K-12 Ed Tech leaders in North America. CoSN’s mission is enabling inclusive and nimble technology leadership to drive innovation. He was selected one of District Administration’s Top 100 for 2025. In 2016 Technology & Learning selected him as one of the “big 10” most influential people in Ed Tech, and the Center for Digital Education identified him as a Top 30 Technologist/Transformer/Trailblazer. In 2008 he was selected by eSchool News as one of ten people who have had a profound impact on educational technology over the last decade. In 2016 he received a Special Recognition award from the Council of Great City Schools. He is the Past Chair of the Learning First Alliance and has served on the Executive Committee of the National Coalition on Technology in Education & Training (NCTET). He serves on many Advisory Boards including the Friday Institute at NC State University, the Public Policy Advisory Council for the American Library Association, Ed Tech Digest, as well as previously the Education Committee of the National Park System. He is principal investigator of the Driving K-12 Innovation series. Keith has a global reputation as a key thought leader and has led senior level U.S. delegations to visit Australia, Asia, Europe and South America to examine best practices in Ed Tech. In 2025, Keith is a Visiting Scholar at Stanford Graduate School of Education focused on AI in K-12 in partnership with the Accelerator for Learning. Isabelle Hau

Isabelle C. Hau is a visionary leader who is dedicated to transforming the way we nurture and educate our children. As executive director of the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, she leverages brain science and technology to champion innovative, effective, and inclusive learning solutions. Previously a successful impact investor, Isabelle led the US education practice at Omidyar Network and Imaginable Futures, where she invested in mission-driven organizations that have reached millions of learners. She is the author of Love to Learn: The Transformative Power of Care and Connection in Early Education. She also writes a popular weekly newsletter Small Talks. At Stanford University, Isabelle teaches the class Design to Equip Learners in Under-Resourced Communities. She serves on the board of EDC and Sonen, on the steering committee of the EdSAFE AI Alliance, the Brookings Institution Global AI Taskforce, and the World Economic Forum’s 4.0 education alliance. Named as one of the 100 most inspiring women by Harvard Business School, Isabelle has also received distinctions in early childhood education and human-centered artificial intelligence. Rachel Miller

Everway Professional Learning Specialist

Rachel Miller (She/ her) is an Educational Consultant at Everway and is passionate about learning. She believes that all children can learn to read and write when given access to appropriate resources, and Everway does just that. Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education at Western Governors University. She began teaching in a self-contained classroom for K-4 students. In her second year, Unique Learning Systems was introduced and Rachel saw such an opportunity for inclusion, improvement in her students and guidance for her teaching. She looks forward to bringing that to others. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys adventure in the great outdoors. Hiking, camping, and paddleboarding are her current favorite activities. Stephanie Jemillo

NYCPS - Director of Special Projects

Stephanie Jemilo serves as the Director of Special Projects, supporting the Chief of Special Education on initiatives related to inclusive practices and equitable outcomes for students. She has worked in public education for the past 13 years, working in the public school systems in Chicago, Boston, Oakland, and New York City. Her passion for the field is rooted in her deep belief in family/community engagement, restorative practices, positive behavior interventions, universal design for learning, and comprehensive literacy instruction. Off the clock, Stephanie loves going to live jazz, hiking anywhere and everywhere with her pitbull, Bear, and spending time with her community.

Colleen F. Warn, PT, ATP

NYCPS - Director of Assistive Technology

Colleen is a pediatric based physical therapist with 20+ years of clinical experience and has been serving as the Director for the Center for Assistive Technology Team since 2018. Her current expertise is with supporting schools’ efforts to eliminate barriers faced by students in accessing their curriculum and achieving their academic goals. She brings extensive knowledge of and background in the use of assistive technology; quality IEP development; and identification and implementation of environmental adaptations. In addition, Colleen has experience working with children and young adults, ages 0-21, in other settings including home, medical and outpatient. In these various environments, Colleen was an integral team member in assisting children and family with initiating, obtaining and implementing assistive technology. Colleen is also a parent to a feisty 12 year-old daughter with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, who uses assistive technology (laptop with switch access to Clicker 8) and a dynamic speech generating device (Tobii i13+ EyeGaze with TD Snap AAC Software) to access her education/communication interactions within her environment. During her spare time, Colleen enjoys traveling with her family, binge watching worthy shows on Netflix, practicing Yoga and chasing the Milky Way for astrophotography.

Crystal Ogir, OTD OTR/L

NYCPS - Related Services Specialist

Crystal supports the provision of all related services and cross-divisional related service special programs for NYC Public Schools. An occupational therapist by training, Crystal has worked with children through adult populations for the past 18 years in educational, sensory gym, rehabilitative and home settings in New York. She currently manages the Sensory, Exploration, Education & Discovery (SEED) program which currently operates 80 sites across NYC. SEED has been recognized by the New York State School Board Association as a Champion of Change program. Crystal also supports the NYC Public Schools Adaptive Equipment Team that assess and provides loaner adaptive equipment to students with physical limitations to gain access to school communities throughout NYCPS, including home instruction, hospital setting and shelters. Her professional interest includes social-emotional academic practices, promoting equity and access for all individuals, family engagement and advocating for accessible and inclusive settings. In her spare time Crystal enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time exploring new places with friends and family.

David Carroca

NYCPS - Director of Assistive Technology - District 75

David Carroca is the Director of Assistive Technology for District 75 in the New York City Public Schools, serving over 26,000 students with significant and diverse learning needs. A licensed occupational therapist and certified educator in both general and special education, David brings over 20 years of experience in special education and assistive technology. He is a dedicated advocate for inclusive education, working to ensure all students have equitable access to tools and supports that promote academic and social success. David leads initiatives that integrate technology into instruction, empowering educators and families with practical, student-centered solutions. His work continues to shape innovation and accessibility across NYCPS.
