Groundswell
Groundswell builds community power with clean energy programs that put people first and cut energy burdens in half. We use community solar to share power, energy storage to deliver community resilience, and energy efficiency to heal housing inequities – all in service to our neighbors across the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Heartland. To date, Groundswell has delivered more than $8 million in annual electricity bill savings to more than 6,000 households, expanded access to community resilience centers to more than 10,000 people, and developed an innovative project finance model that enables community ownership. In 2024, Groundswell was awarded $156 million by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to build community solar and resilience solutions that cut electricity bills in half for tens of thousands low- and moderate-income households across the Southeast.
