Karen Tam is Head of Strategy and Growth Ventures for GE HealthCare, where she leads cross-business teams to drive growth and profitability through innovation, strategic partnerships, and digital solutions. She works at the intersection of corporate strategy and commercial execution, translating market shifts into scalable opportunities across products, services, and data-enabled offerings.
Over the course of her career, Karen has led large-scale enterprise strategy and capital planning transformations across health systems ranging from community hospitals to national networks. She has guided executive teams through growth strategy, portfolio prioritization, financial planning, and organizational change. Prior to her current role, she advised more than 100 health care organizations and medical technology leaders, helping them navigate market disruption and align strategy with execution.
Karen holds degrees from the University of Chicago and dual master’s degrees, an MBA and MPP, from the University of Michigan.
