Western Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

The Western Region was established in December 1952 at the 22nd Boule in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to its recognition, the territories of the region were part of the Southwest Region. Under the leadership of Soror Lessie B. Crossland, who served as the first Western Regional Syntaktes, the region held its first conference in July 1953. Today, the Western Region continues to grow, and now serves communities across 13 states and two countries under the leadership of 20th Western Regional Syntaktes, Andrea R. Magee Davis.
