Throughout her career, Nicole has received several prestigious awards, including the Commissioner's Award of Excellence, the Oral Health Hero Award, the Oral Health Prevention Award, the Federal Office of Rural Health State Achievement Award for Quality Reporting, and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health Innovation Award. Nicole is a RDH with over twenty years experience she has her Masters in Health Sciences.

Russell Dunkel, DDS, FPFA, FICD, FACD

Dr. Russ Dunkel is a 1981 honors graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and completed his hospital-based residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI in 1982. He currently holds the position of WI State Dental Director and Chief Dental Officer in the WI Department of Health Services, where he works in both DPH and DMS. Dr. Dunkel has over 38 years of clinical and teaching experience including treatment of geriatric and individuals with special health care needs in both clinical and hospital settings. His teaching experiences include Marquette University School of Dentistry, the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, MATC School of Dental Hygiene. He also started the only clinic in Wisconsin devoted solely to dental treatment for Individuals with Special Health Care Needs. He is currently involved in several state and national health care projects including the US Indian Health Service, the American Coalition for Oral Health, previous workgroup of the American Dental Association & the American College of Emergency Physicians, the University at Florida Dental School at Gainesville, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officers, and current President of the Association of State & Territorial Dental Directors, to name a few. In addition, he has co-authored several state and national toolkits and manuals as well as the first dental chapter in a prestigious medical textbook on chronic disease and epidemiology.

Suzy Dyer joined Parker Family Health Center in December 2019. Suzy joined Parker from Planned Parenthood of Northern, Central and Southern New Jersey where her roles included Chief Philanthropic, Legal & Regulatory Affairs Officer, and most recently Chief Legal Affairs & Compliance Officer. Previously, Suzy was an Assistant US Attorney in the District of New Jersey. Prior to that she was an associate in the commercial litigation and bankruptcy departments at Winston & Strawn LLC in New York, NY. She received her law degree from St. John’s University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Today, Suzy sits on the YMCA Advisory Council, the National Association of Free Clinics Advisory Committee, the Ocean/Monmouth Health Alliance Leadership Council, the New Jersey Department of Health Equity Working Group, and the JBJ and Pilgrim Baptist Warming Center Steering Committee. Suzy is the Board Chair of the Greater Newark Conservancy and sits on the Borden Foundation Board. Under Suzy’s leadership, the Parker clinic recently completed an extensive construction and renovation project, adding a two-story addition to the clinic and nearly doubling the existing facility space. In2025, Suzy was awarded the Monmouth County Planning Board Merit Award. In 2024, Suzy was awarded both the Human Dignity Award by the YMCA of the Jersey Shore and the Community Partner Award from the VNA Health Group.

Steven Geiermann, DDS, FICD, FACD

Dr. Geiermann is a retired Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service, who served as a dental director in the Indian Health Service and within Federally Qualified Health Centers before becoming a HRSA regional dental consultant for the Upper Midwest. After retiring from the USPHS in February 2008, Steve became a senior staff dentist within the American Dental Association addressing access, oral health infrastructure and community. He was the staff lead for the ADA's workgroup tasking with developing a culture of safety within dentistry, which was a challenging endeavor for six years. Upon retiring from the ADA, he continued his passion for the safest dental visit by assuming leadership positions with the Association for Dental Safety, where he continues the good fight even today.

Dr. Ethel Pecolia Harris is a distinguished dental professional and educator with over two decades of experience bridging the gap between oral health and systemic wellness. Brett H. Kessler, DDS

Kari Ann Kuntzelman (She/Her/Hers), Executive Director of the American Dental Therapy Association (ADTA), is an enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma and a licensed dental therapist in Oregon. She resides in Wasilla, Alaska, and is a 2019 graduate of the Alaska Dental Therapy Education Program. Kari Ann served four Executive Leadership Board Director terms with ADTA before transitioning into her current role. She previously worked at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board's Northwest Dental Health Aide Program, supporting 43 Federally Recognized tribes in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Nicole McGrath-Barnes, DDS, FACD

Dr. Nicole McGrath-Barnes is the Founder and CEO of KinderSmile Foundation (KSF), a nonprofit she established in 2007, following the death of Deamonte Driver, a 12-year-old boy from Prince George’s County, MD, who died from a tooth infection that traveled to his brain. His story became a turning point in her career that shaped KSF’s mission and vision to ensure that every child has access to a dentist and preventable dental diseases are eradicated. She earned her dental degree from the University of Maryland and completed her residency at UMDNJ in Newark, NJ. In 2010, she completed the American Dental Association's Institute for Diversity Leadership Program in partnership with Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. Dr. Nicole was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, an honor achieved by only 3.5% of US dentists. Madhu Mohan, DMD, FAAPD is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she serves as Residency Program Director in Pediatric Dentistry and Interim Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Special Care Treatment Center, and Community Health. Dr. Mohan is deeply involved in postgraduate education, clinical excellence, and advancing outreach-driven care for vulnerable and underserved populations. Dr. Mohan completed her DMD and her postgraduate training in Pediatric Dentistry at New Jersey Dental School. She is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a nationally recognized educator, serving as a CODA site visitor and on multiple national academic and examination committees. Her academic work spans pediatric clinical education, behavior management, sedation and anesthesia decision-making, and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence in pediatric dental care. Dr. Carlos Stringer Smith is a nationally recognized dentist‑ethicist and thought leader whose work at the intersection of oral health justice, ethics, and organizational culture is shaping the future of equitable care delivery. He serves as Associate Dean for Ethics and Community Engagement and Associate Professor at the VCU School of Dentistry. He is President of the American Society for Dental Ethics and a board member of the Academy for Professionalism in Health Care. A prolific scholar with more than 45 peer‑reviewed publications and over 80 invited or peer‑reviewed presentations, his leadership in the ADEA Climate Study has advanced new frameworks for understanding institutional culture. His work on trauma‑informed care, anti‑racism, and reimagined professionalism positions him as a leading voice in ethics‑centered health professions education. Meghan Spinelli, DA

Meghan Spinelli has extensive experience working in healthcare. Her past involvements have included The United States Coast Guard Medical Infirmary and The New Jersey Department of Corrections. At the Department of Corrections Mrs. Spinelli found her passion for working with underserved populations. This exposure has led to her success in her current position. As Vice President of Community Relations, Meghan is responsible for overseeing outreach services, collaborating and building relationships with local community agencies, school administration, faith-based entities, affordable housing mangers and businesses, guaranteeing community residents are aware of all services offered at CompleteCare. She is also responsible for government relations for the organization, building and maintaining strong relationships with local, county, and state officials. Meghan has oversight of CompleteCare’s Smile Smart and newly expanded Health Solutions Program, as well as their Migrant/Farmworker Health Program. She also works closely with other community organizations to supervise the Wellness on Wheels Mobile Health unit. Additionally, Meghan now oversees our infection prevention services helping us maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Meghan is the Vice Chair for the Cumberland /Salem Health and Wellness Alliance and represents CompleteCare on health leadership councils throughout Cape May, Cumberland and Gloucester Counties.

Evan Spivack, DDS, FAGD

Recognizing Oral Health Concerns in Children with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Dr. Evan Spivack is a graduate of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery-University of Maryland. He completed residency training at St Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx and a fellowship in special patient care at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY. Dr. Spivack served a faculty at the NYU College of Dentistry and at several hospitals, nursing homes and in private practice until his move to New Jersey. He served as director of Special Dental Services at St Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Paterson before his move to the New Jersey Dental School, now the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, in 2001. Dr. Spivack leads the Special Care Treatment Center at Rutgers, where he is responsible for the direct care of patients with a broad spectrum of developmental and acquired disabilities. He provides education to dental students and residents and lectures extensively with a focus on interprofessional patient care. He has authored over a dozen articles and book chapters on various subjects in special care. Dr. Spivack is active in the Academy of General Dentistry and with the Arc of New Jersey, which honored him as Health Care Professional of the Year in 2015. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Spivack is a haiku poet who recently published his first book of baseball haiku.

Shenam Ticku, BDS, MPH

Dr. Shenam Ticku is an assistant professor of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology and serves as the pre-doctoral discipline director for OHPE at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She was also a Rabkin Fellow in Medical Education for the 2024–2025 academic year. Her research focuses on medical-dental integration, training, and policy reform. She has served as a co-investigator in the federally funded Center for Integration of Primary Care and Oral Health (CIPCOH), assessing the integration of oral health in primary care training. Additionally, she was a sub-project co-principal investigator on a study examining behavioral health and social determinants of health within dental workforce training. Her research has also explored the feasibility of integrating mental health screenings in dental settings, supported by the Eleanor and Miles Shore Faculty Development Award. She is the principal investigator of the 100 Million Mouths Campaign, a national initiative aimed at enhancing the primary care workforce’s oral health knowledge, skills, and competencies. She has led multiple studies under the HSDM Initiative to Integrate Oral Health and Medicine, further advancing interprofessional collaboration in oral health care.

Since opening her 1st private practice in February 2020, just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Webb has built a thriving, prevention-focused pediatric dental home rooted in compassion, clinical excellence, and community commitment. Her current offices are in Newark and Hoboken. Dr. Webb’s leadership extends far beyond her office walls. Three years ago, she was appointed by the Governor Murphy to serve on the New Jersey Public Health Council, where she contributes her expertise to statewide public health initiatives. She also serves as Vice Chair of Pediatric Dentistry at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, further strengthening her impact within hospital-based and academic dentistry. Clinically, Dr. Webb is dedicated to serving children of all backgrounds and medical complexities. She provides sedation services in the hospital setting for medically compromised and special healthcare needs children who require advanced care in a safe, controlled environment. Her commitment ensures that even the most vulnerable patients receive high-quality, compassionate treatment. Deeply passionate about preventive oral health, Dr. Webb founded a school-based dental program that now serves over 50 schools across Northern New Jersey. Through education, screenings, preventive services, and family outreach, she is helping to reduce disparities.
